The Hospice House Diary

The end of someone’s life is a sacred time. Near end of life, people often have the need to tell and hear stories. It is our privilege to be witness to these stories and the storytellers who have lived them. The gift of a story lasts long after a person has died; we would love to preserve and share your story.

Your memories mean a lot to Hospice House.

At Hospice House, we not only accept death, but we embrace it as a special time for families to come together to celebrate life. But how we embrace and celebrate this time is different for everyone. That’s where our residents’ stories come in – they model for us ways to say goodbye, to make amends, and to reflect on a life well-lived.

Some stories are long and some are brief, but all are important.

Just as no two birth stories are alike, no two end-of-life stories are alike.

Stories come to us from many different sources — through conversation, personal notes, social media, or an entry in our Diary. Our Hospice House Diary is a very special “living” storybook for anyone who wants to share their experiences with us. No matter how the story came to us, each shows what Hospice House meant to them in that moment of time.

We are so appreciative of those residents, families, friends, volunteers, and caregivers who choose to share their stories with us. Fill out the form below if you’d like to honor your loved one’s journey by sharing their Hospice House story here.
